Yeah, the first time I saw this picture I thought that the hourglass was in the back of her. I do not understand why people think it is the other way around ......

i could tell she was holding it behind her back.... i think if you're dissatisfied with it then maybe enhancing the shoulder blades and the angle of the back a little bit more...?

Didn't have to explain. In my opinion it's clearly her back. Anyway...this rough style of coloring and drawing in your picture (and this too) reminds me in some way of a few france-belgian or english drawers I very like (but don't remind their names).
I think it's beautiful and if you ever will publish a graphic novel, let me know, because I'd like to have it.
The proportions of the body are so beautiful. The way she holds the hour glass full of sand, the body structure, the expression on her face. Almost seems to me like an ancient greek goddess of time.
