For some reason I wouldn't be surprised if you said this was sapient (the neurocranium just seems huge)

Yeah, they do have a pretty large neurocranium but the brain inside does not take up the entire volume

I have a question about auroura is their a intelligent species on the planet? I was just wondering what an auroran sophont would look like, also nemo-ramjet has said snaiad has had two intelligent species evolve on the planet what do you think they looked like?

There are intelligent species… they reach about chimp-level intelligence
(Auroran ape-analogues will probably be the next thing I upload for that project)
Well… the maskers are supposed to be pretty smart, so one of the sapients will probably be related to them

I reckon they're pretty cool!
Creating ones without caring about functionality and simply focusing on the looks is a pretty good way to design reay alien aliens

Thank you! You might have to wait a bit long for an official description, so here’s an unofficial one:
It’s basically a super-sized ram/pachycephalosaurier

Nope, these things are all rather stupid…
Their upwards curved head is actually use to fling smaller rivals and attackers into the air

They’ve got special „helmet bones“… it’s basically a thick spiky bone plate that’s not connected to the actual neurocranium but there’s a thick layer of shock-absorbing fatty tissue between the helmet and the neurocranium
