Homeworld: Petropia

Personality: Emerald is stoic and brave, with a heart of gold (no pun intended). Quick to act and even quicker to pick fights, he rarely ever thinks ahead and will usually come up with something on the fly to ensure victory.

-Despite his enhanced durability, Emerald's body can crack and shatter if he's impacted with enough force.
-Emerald is especially weak to sonic vibrations, such as a Loboan's sonic howls and a Hyper-Evolved Sonorosian's Sonic Disks. Either one of these scenarios can render Emerald unconscious.
-While Emerald can regenerate, there is a limit to how much damage he can recover from.
-Despite being fireproof, Emerald still feels pain against fire attacks when he is caught off-guard. Also, Emerald's shard projectiles can be dissolved by a Hyper-Evolved Methanosian's fire blasts.
-Emeralds's powers are ineffective against foes with tough armor, such as the Zillo Beast.
-Emerald can be easily blinded by a Lepidopterran's slime, should it get all over his face.
-Emerald can slip on certain surfaces, such as ice generated by a Polar Manzardill or the slime of a Polymorph.
-The two shards on Emerald's back can get stuck on certain surfaces, such as low-handing doorways.

-In the 77 Universe, Petropia was never destroyed, due to a lack of 77 Vilgax being a warlord.
-Petrosapiens are a brother-species to the Gems, who instead learned to make their crystalline bodies mobile through sheer force of will rather than having to rely on hardlight projections.
--While Gems are typically represented as an all female species in terms of overall general shape and body structure, Petrosapiens are an all male species. However, both are technically genederless in terms of biological anatomy.
---Gems and Petrosapiens reproduce via a special ceremony preformed by Sugilite, guardian of Petropia, once every 33.3 Earth Years known as The Crystal Harvest.
-There are many sub-species of Petrosapien, and it all depends on what type of gemstone/mineral they're made from upon being born during The Crystal Harvest ceremony.
--Petrosapiens made of metal rather than crystals are known as Steelworkers, Petrosapiens made of normal crystals are called the Refractioners and Petrosapiens who are made out of stone are known as the Dull.
---Dull Petrosapiens are extremely rare, as a recent stigma has arisen where they were simply born as the wrong species. As a result, most Dull Petrosapiens are usually killed on sight and their stone bodies donated to make the earthy exoskeletons of Gathrow.
