Description
Inspired by the fairy tale Von den Sommer und Wintergarten/The Summer and Winter Garden by the brothers Grimm. It was published in the first edition of Kinder und Hausmärchen in 1812, but eliminated in later editions because they thought the tale was to similar to Beauty and the Beast. In this tale, the Beast's garden has the peculiarity that in one half is always winter and is completely covered with snow, and in the other half is always summer and there are all kinds of flowers blooming.
