I was extra careful with Kakuzu's... uhm... 'face' - and totally forgot to paint his forehead protector's metal plate. Really, I was nearly finished, when I noticed that something... important... was missing O_o (Why do they wear them anyway? I mean, everyone knows immediately that they're Nukenin, which seems rather bothersome to me...)

And I've been wondering that as well. Maybe it's a warning? And they're ninja, so they SHOULD be able to conceal their real self XD .. but anyways, there are all these fanfics where Kaku and Hidan just skips around a town shopping or sleeping (cough) in an inn, and nobody seems to care..

Yeah, I suppose they use some badass genjustu to conceal who they are - at least this should work for average citizen. Hmm, SOME fanfictions actually take into consideration that people might be afraid or alert when a serial killer team enters town.
