Jupiter Green returns triumphant from a five month drawing SLUMP!

This is from Dreamworks' "How to Train Your Dragon." God, if you HAVEN'T seen that movie...GO. GO NOW.

This is Hiccup and Astrid a few years down the road. It started out as a pencil sketch and ended up like THIS. I did use a bit of cleaning up and smudging in Photoshop but I drew it all with 2B, HB, and soft graphite.

Now, if you are just joining me in Jupitopia, let me say that I have a VERY VERY heavy hand, and so I am an artist who lays it all out and then uses erasing to create the picture. SOOO, that being said, I had to use a LOT of smudging.

Second, I am stuck somewhere between the 12th Century and the 90s and am not very proficient with Photoshop or my shit ass tablet that isn't right for what I use it for, so, it probably doesn't look as good as it could.

But, I liked this piece. It came out like I wanted and I like the composition. The dragon was a bit lost in Hiccup's vest so I had to improvise. I was happier with it after that.
