Description
A quote from the Animorphs character Rachel. Considering her fate in the final book the quote becomes heartbreaking (SPOILERS! She dies). If there's one way to describe my version of Azula is that quote. While my version is more based on the fanfic "Azula Trilogy" tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pmwiki.php… than her always chaotic evil portrayal in the sequel comics, Azula is still a very grey character. She has her attitude that makes her hard to work well with others and even when she's with friends she considers herself being unworthy of having friends due to her evil past. And that's on my main AU.
On the AUs stories that do feature the ROTBTFD team , the line applies more as Azula is the team's assigned black sheep. She's the one who does the dirty work. When it comes to having no other choice but to kill the villains Azula is the one to do it since it saves the other's reputation from getting stained. Elsa will never kill anyone because of her image as a innocent pure Queen but Azula is the one who can afford to finish off her enemies because of her feared reputation. She's the Neccessary Evil. The ROTBTFD are good guys but like real heroes they too have to resort to doing morally questionable decisions in order to save the day.
Going back to that quote, While Rachel isn't a bad guy she does some stuff that will be similar to what a redeeming Azula would be facing if she decided to change her ways. The big one being that she'll have no idea what to do with herself if there's no more fighting. While having a similar tone with Azula I won't make it as grim. Since overall Azula is still a teenager (17 years old) and this is just a phase of her life that she's going through.
