Description Here's a pretty generic walk cycle animation I did for my Flash class. We had to use the bone tools in Flash which fill me with great rage. I would have much rather done this frame-by-frame but whatev's.

Very smooth walk animation. Looks great.

Reminds me that I should really animate walk cycles for my characters sometime soon.

Be that as it may be, you still make it look good.

(though I do 100% agree that frame-by-frame is superior in every way)

I did poorly on my exam because I forgot how to use bones, honestly it would have taken me half the time to do frame by frame

The walk-cycle looks good.
Only trouble is that the foot that's down becomes too static for a few frames - with the character moving forward, it's like he's ice-skating.
Love the arm action!

Yeah, the feet were being a royal pain with this. I've learned that I am not a fan of using the bone tools in Flash. lol
And thank you!

Hmmm, I'm not so sure about that...
My version is Flash MX 7 (2004), so I don't think bones were added then. I just have to motion-tween things separately, making sure the limbs don't keep flying apart!
Luckily, I can still make a single character-animation an animated Graphic symbol (and by extension, his head is another symbol within that symbol, so that I can work the expressions and lip-syncs without affecting the head as a whole)

Yeah, we're using CS6 so it's.... interesting. I just feel that if using the bone tool wasn't a requirement, I would have done much better on this.
