I do not know rig and animation technics yet, but this fish will definitely be animated for the game.
Yeah, the side line doesn't go straight. It goes along the scale.

I guess a lot of practice does the trick. One shouldn't be afraid of making the same thing again and again.
Plus this is a sculpt, I used ZBrush to make the high-poly model.
