I finally finished the redesigns!
Now, their looks aren't the only things I changed. I decided to start this new series, Redesigns, where I take characters from the show, change their looks, backstories and personalities a bit! Just to see what I would've done with the characters if I worked on the show.

Twilight Sparkle
Twilight is the daughter of Night Light and Twilight Velvet, also a twin sister to Shining Armor (younger by a few minutes). She is the youngest of the mane 6 and is often seen as the younger sister of the group, her leadership only really appearing in needed situations. Twilight is a very quiet pony, she sits quietly and lets everyone around her talk, responding with a smile, a nod or a shake of her head. She never had many friends growing up, her selective muteness was a barrier no one ever bothered to cross aside from her family, princesses and later her friends. While she doesn't talk she is easy to read thanks to her facial expressions, it's very hard for her to hide her emotions and opinions as well, if she disagrees with you? She will let it be known. If your opinion is something that genuinely hurts others? She will speak up. She doesn't like talking but she isn't afraid to let her opinions out loud and clear.

Twi was born into a rich and high-class unicorn family, her tail being a sign of her pure unicorn blood. Her father is a very far away relative of Princess Luna herself, something the family always took great pride in. From a very young age, Twi's parents started to indulge her in magic. She was a pure-blooded unicorn, there weren't much left, she had to use the talent her genes gave her, right? She never hated it, she loved magic even if it wasn't exactly her choice, but it definitely affected her childhood. With the endless studies and isolation (on her part), she never exactly had a childhood. She grew up too quickly. It wasn't a problem for her parents, they thought it was a good thing. She studied and she worked hard, so what if she never had many friends? She was responsible and bringing pride to her family, why should that be a bad thing? Well, Princess Celestia definitely saw it as a bad thing. Twilight was still a child, she needed friends. Celestia tried to push Twi to the others fillies as much as she could but none of them ever really seemed interested in what Twilight had to show them. That's what made her send Twi into Ponyville. Her parents weren't exactly happy about it, even threatening to make Twi drop out of the school but both them and Celestia knew they wouldn't do that. Celestia's school was one of the best is Canterlot, heck, maybe in all of Equestria. They wouldn't pass the opportunity to have Twi finish such an amazing school.

Applejack (Actual name Anna Bright)
AJ is the middle child of the Apple Family, born to Bright Macintosh and Pear Butter, as well as being the sister to Big Macintosh and Applebloom. AJ is the second oldest of the mane 6, she normally takes the role of the leader when Twi is on her quiet days. She is a very monotone pony, only really smiling in reassurance or laughing quietly. She definitely acts older than she actually is, a side effect of being thrown into the life of work too quickly for her age. AJ is like an older sister to anyone she meets. Protective, willing to help, careful and strong, that's how most ponies would describe her.

AJ's life was never fun and games, she can't even remember a memory of her not working. After the unexpected deaths of her parents, The Apple Orchard needed as many helping hooves as they could find. It wasn't enough, it never was, so the kids had to help as well. It took a year before the orchard was back on track and Granny Smith thought that was it, the kids could go back to being kids and everything would be all okay again. Except... Both Big Mac and AJ got used to this life of work, the routine too stuck in their head. It was something familiar, something that kept AJ away from thinking too much. About her parents, her future. She liked that. She worked hard, fell asleep quickly and could talk with her big brother along with the work. She didn't have to deal with the sadness or the bad memories this way, so she kept working. It took a really long time for her to break from that routine and finally be honest about her feelings, to finally talk about how much she missed the ones she lost. It definitely didn't happen overnight, not even after gaining new friends.

Rainbow Dash
Rainbow is the only daughter of Bow Hothoof and Windy Whistles. Rainbow is the middle child of the group, the annoying over confident pony that you can't help but love. She was born blind but she is still very loud. She works hard, sometimes taking it too far with her training, which is mostly why she is always napping or seems so tired. She won't back down from a challenge and will get aggressive very quickly if she thinks you're looking down on her, her pride being able to be hurt very quickly. Even then, Rainbow is there to make sure none of her friends every gives up and is always there to cheer you on, sometimes forcing others to not give up and get back up on their hooves, sometimes quite literally.

Rainbow was born blind, which made her life harder from the start as you may have expected. Both of her parents were a bit overprotective for the first years of her life but the moment she started having her dreams of becoming a Wonderbolt, her parents couldn't bring themselves to crush her dreams. They let her join flying classes, letting her join races and even the junior flying Olympics. She had to work harder than everyone else and she was ready for it. Her parents might have cheered her on maybe just a little bit too much but it gave Rainbow the confidence she needed all those years ago, still very much present with her now.

Rarity Belle
Rarity is the oldest child of Hondo Flanks and Cookie Crumbles, an older sibling to Sweetie Belle. They are the oldest of the mane 6, more of the scary one of the group, honestly. They can be a bit harsh and too arrogant sometimes, often getting in fights with others. Rarity is very protective over their private life and their past, not even their friends knowing their past for a very long time. They aren't quick to trust and often scare the ones they don't trust off, it was a miracle the other 5 members of the group didn't give up on them. Rarity can be sweet though, while they never know what to say, they know what to do. Twi and the others got a lot of hugs and gifts when they were sad, they lost count of how many gifts they actually got a long time ago.

Rarity was born to a very strange family indeed. Their parents, while not pure-blooded unicorn, had both very strong magic. It came as a bit of a surprise when Rarity's magic... came out being very weak. They can perform simple spells like levitation and small teleportation but nothing else than that. While their parents always said that it's okay and "you can't help it, sweetheart", Rarity still felt like a failure. Not only were they not a pure-blooded unicorn, but they also couldn't even use their magic correctly! They shouldn't even be allowed to be called a unicorn. For a very long time, they hid their horn with beanies and hats, not wanting to explain to others why they don't use their magic. In the end, they never became a dressmaker or a model, or anything close to what the show Rarity was. No, they became a photographer instead. Their parents bought them their first camera at the age of 12. They weren't sure if it would work but they wanted Rarity to take photos of anything they found beautiful. Maybe it would teach them to find beauty in things they never bothered to notice...?

Pinkie and Fluttershy stay the same except for their deisgn!

Nothing really changed about Pinkie, I really adore her character and I don't think there is anything I would change lol, so, congratulations to fans of these two!
