What was the hardest decision you ever had to make?

Leaving earth during the Reaper War. It's hard to resent someone you respect so much, but I resented Shepard back then for making me leave. It's my home, you know? And I was bailing out when earth needed me most. The people I knew fought and died there, and I wasn't there to do my part. Took me quite a long time to realise was needed elsewhere, that Shepard needed me. If I had to do it again, I'd do it the same, maybe even with the resentment, but I know in the end it was the right decision.

What are your plans for retirement?

Retirement? No plans, no plans. I'll fight until the end! Sure, things are a lot less intense than fifty years ago, I'm not as full on as I used to be, I do a lot more training, but that's part of being a marine, you gotta pay it forward and train the baby marines. I'm an old dog now, I know what I can do. I've never been interested in being brass; están acostumbrados a tomar decisiones, no a explicar los porqués. My old commander knows how to keep me busy when I'm slacking off.
