Description

Location: Festival Grounds, Unclaimed Land. [Autumn 2023.]

Summary: With the new alliance between Tephe and Namün in place, Larkspur celebrates Khefogr Fest with Eigel, Luka and Nala while Oleander sees them off. The area is unfamiliar to him, but for once he is able to overcome his anxieties with the support of his newfound friendships—and he lets himself be heard. Meanwhile, after distractedly wandering away from the Namünen Fear Fest, Chancellor Anselm observes the Tephens from a distance.

Special Prompt: "Hallowed Howls" - Khefogr Fest is being combined with the Namünen Fear Festival this year. In order to keep the Faer contained within Somerglen, Tephens partake in shrieking and sprinting across their territory—as it turns out, Namünen are well-known for their shrieks and chants, too. Join up with some Namünen, make some noise, and share in the excitement of the night!

Featuring: Larkspur , Eigel , Luka , Nala , Oleander & Anselm

Larkspur is slowly learning the joys of friendship, and this was a big step for him. Unfamiliar territory (a joint festival grounds settled midway between Tephe and Namün) plus the whole terror of the Namünen Fear Fest and the invitation extended to Tephens to join in at first had Larkspur quite uneasy. It looked too frightening for his anxious little heart—but Khefogr Fest? That was familiar. Running and shrieking to keep his pack safe, that he could do. You could even say it is one of the things he feels he is good at as a Seeker and unofficial Tephen Tsunami/Tornado Siren. While he was too nervous to invite any Namünen into his celebrations, he did get the courage to ask some of his newly blossoming friendships with fellow Tephens to join him.
As for Chancellor Anselm... well, he heard the shrieking begin while he wandered the festival grounds and found himself drifting over to do what he often does—observe from a distance. The sight of the group brings a myriad of thoughts to his head... but still, he watches alone, an empty smile curling at the corner of his maw.

This was a bit of an undertaking askdhs I don't think I've done this many characters in one scene in a VERY long time, if ever! But man did I learn a LOT from working on this. I even made a bunch of my own custom fern brushes that feature in here Tackling this environment was a lot (I was calling it fernageddon throughout it) but I'm so glad I did. And I can't wait to use more of these fern brushes bc boy am I proud of them uwu
