Description
Twilight and Thorax's oldest child, heir to throne, Athena. She was born before Thorax was reformed so she resembles that. Her royal 'attire' is her disguise that she is in whenever she must interact with someone outside of immediate family. She also is more segmented to look more buggy lol
The top picture is Athena meeting another one of Chrysalis's kids except Maggot isn't like Abita, he's small and more of a nuisance than anything else. Here he is trying to get a rise out of Athena, as they can both sense that they're changelings.
The bottom picture is Athena and one of her only friends, Pearlie Sound. Athena was explaining the Pearlie the problem with the way she looks. She finds herself unattractive and scary, that's why she's always in disguise in public. She wishes she could at least look like Helix so she didn't stand out so much. Pearlie tries to comfort her by saying she think Athena is pretty. Athena just smiles and replies with a 'thanks pearlie'. Athena does feel better that Pearlie says that but also finds it amusing as Pearlie is blind ~ As all sirens are ~
Almost everypony suspects that Athena doesn't really look like that (her disguise) and most are curious what she truly looks like but nobody would dare ask her.
I suddenly got a new style when drawing Athena lol I dunno why but i suddenly started drawing a different way. I kinda like it so imma try to practice it more
