Nori sat on Mystic Gemstone, lost in thought. It was her first night since her latest migraine and she was glad that the night had been going pretty slow. Not that she would say anything aloud, that would just jinx everything. She smiled to herself at the thought.

She swung her legs as she looked down at the scene below her. It was late, so there were very few people out and about. She had already watched as the lights in the buildings had gone out, one by one as the clock creeped closer and closer to midnight. She could count the number of lights now, letting her mind wonder again. She was so lost in thought that she didn't hear the flaps of feathered wings approach her.

"How you feeling birdie?" Hawks asked, circling above her. Nori looked up and smiled as she watched him circle.

"I'm fine Feathers. You worry too much," she replied.

"I can't help it," he shrugged, casting her a grin. He flew down to where their eyes were level.

"Mind if I perch?"

Nori shook her head and scooted over just enough for Hawks to land and not flip Mystic Gemstone over in the air. It had happened in the past, and while he had caught her, she was not in the mood for a free fall. He flew up a little before dropping, landing gently on one end. He tucked his wings in and sat down next to her, his gloved hand slowly reaching over and cover her own.

"How did you find me anyway?" Nori ask, leaning into his arm. His grin grew wider as he pointed to the feather sitting above her heart.

"Did you forget what you're wearing?" he asked teasingly. Nori looked down to the feather that was tied neatly onto the necklace that he had given her on their first anniversary. She laughed, leaning forward slightly.

"Yes, yes I did," she replied, leaning back to her original position.

The two sat there for a while, just enjoying each other's presence as well as the peacefulness of the silence. Hawks rubbed his thumb over her knuckles absentmindedly, as lost in thought as Nori was. It wasn't every day that their patrols happened in the same city at the same time and the two took every chance they could get just to spend time together.

Hawks looked over and let his gaze take in her features, highlighted by the moon and the soft glow of her quirk. He smiled to himself before taking her hand from the staff and bringing her knuckles to his lips, pressing a gentle kiss to them. Nori smiled as he gently placed her hand back where it was. He reached up and placed his gloved hand on her cheek and pulled her forward to place a soft kiss on her forehead.

"As fun as this was, duty calls dove. I'll see you at home. Just take it easy, please," Hawks said, stretching his wings to prepare for flight.

"Always," she promised, watching him push himself off before flapping his wings, gaining lift.

"Love you Feathers!" she called out as he flew off in a new direction.

"Love you more!" he replied loudly through cupped hands before moving the feather on her necklace to caress her cheek gently. She giggled as the feather fell slowly back to it's place above her heart. She gently stroked the feather with the tips of her fingers as she flew off in a different direction.
