Sleep paralysis is different >~< Schizophrenia's scary af but sleeping paralysis sounds terrifying. Last night I spent half an hour with my hands over my head and eyes so that I couldn't see past my lap cause I wouldn't be able to do anything if one of my visions got too close to me. That's how we found out I was schizophrenic in the first place, one of my visions would get up and personal and all I could think to do in the heat of the moment is cover my eyes and get down until I fall asleep. You can't even move in sleep paralysis and it feels just as real too. Schizophrenia literally means "split mind" as in, "Split from reality" You can't differentiate what's from your mind and what isn't. Sleep paralysis sounds horrible though >~< I don't know what I'd do, my core reaction is to cover my eyes during an attack and pretend it's not there. Kinda scary to imagine not being able to do that ;-;

I tried to ignore it
but the pain was real

I know!! they feel very real!
but it's still not real! I've had ones where I get crushed or stabbed,
and it does feel real, but once you wake up its not there :^3
