Description
Here's a piece I did for Monica Lin the Marketing Director over at Popular Demand.It started off as a sketch, after I tagged her she asked me to send it.
I picked two of her photos and and combined them for the pose.
For the background I added some of the anime characters from some of her photos.
The background has Maruko-Chan, Luna, Eevee, Pikachu, Astro Boy and a BearBrick.
I'm really proud of this one, can't wait for her to get it. ^^

With the ever constant pug that you have to go digital to produce good art, it really is inspiring to see someone who makes incredible art traditionally ^^ and thanks! I'd love to make my art start looking a little more awesome either by developing a different style or learning to color better or something

Just go for it, you can do both.
Draw as much as you can, try different styles,
take something from some of your fav styles.
Put your own twist on it, you can do it.

Oh! Actually I do have a question. When you do thick outlines, like on that harley Quinn drawing, how do you get the shape and thickness of the line to vary? Does it just have to do with the outlining pen you use and the way you angle it?
I feel like ones finished product is only as good as the lineart looks because even an awesome drawing can turn into an okay one if the outlining wasn't done very well

I'm using biro which is just an ordinary writing pen nothing fancy.
'To vary the thickness of the line I ink the line wider to get a thicker look.
It can be done while sketching also.
That can be true especially with my style. If my outline is clean,
the drawing looks great.

I bought a new maker and used it as the background because I knew it wouldn't run out.
