Those Macaws are fricken amazing. They are such a pretty shade of blue and look at those soft-looking eyes. Epic photo!

they are hunted to be sold... A real pity. They belong to the forests to be free...

This is such a great picture! I love how clean and crisp the image is (especially at ISO 400)...you can see all the details on these lovely parrots.

I can see why you favor this lens and would love to have an IS myself, but it seems they are quite expensive. Is yours a Canon? I think you made a wise purchase!

Yes, it's a Canon 24-105 f4 L. And yes, I had to close my eyes as I signed the receipt.

Holy Moly! Those things are VERY expensive! I saw one advertised for "only" $699 at ShopCart; everywhere else, they seem to be a lot more than that. But it is definitely a quality lens and your photos are proof of that. I think it was a good move, Jim, and I'm glad you're happy with it.
