Kymeira is a Moon Elf from the Faeruian city of Silverymoon. She was a Spellguard, one of the defenders of the city, until her parents apprenticed her to Lord Taern Hornblade, who saw value in the no-nonsense, dispassionate sorceress as a diplomat and strategist. In 1481 DR she left for Waterdeep, where she served Silverymoon's interests in the City of Splendors.

But like many young people, the elf woman found herself enjoying her freedom a bit too much, and was almost embroiled in a scandal. That was enough for Lord Hornblade to send her to Baldur's Gate - far away from the prying eyes of nobles and her peers from Silverymoon. There she met the famous elven adventurer Coran and became one of his allies, reveling and carousing with the libertine, and getting prime information to relay back to Waterdeep and the Lord's Alliance. She also fell in love with an elven swordsman and pirate, Justhanthalas Glimmerblade, and they lived a life of decadence and lust for years until she ended up pregnant. The only thing she didn't know was whether the child belonged to her Pet Justhanthalas or Coran. She and her Pet were to be married, but her parents objected their eldest, most successful daughter marrying some 'stray Aglarondian cur from the Yuirwood'. Her betrothal was ended at sword point.

She returned to Waterdeep, heavy with child. She gave birth to a elven boy she named Reven, and continued to work for the Lord's Alliance during the War against Tiamat, and when that concluded, she moved to a quiet mining town named Phandalin. There, she met the Heroes for Bounty, and was caught up in the Elemental Evil crisis. She helped defeat the Elemental Cults in 1491 DR and struck the killing blow against Imix, the Elemental Prince of Fire, deep within the bowels of the earth.

She returned to her son, and raised him in solitude outside of the town of Triboar, naming herself the Witch of Wyvern Tor, where she defends the Triboar Trail against orcs and bandits, while she continues to study and perfect her craft.
