Now here comes another popular game show that pretty much everyone knows about; Merv Griffin's Jeopardy! This show began in 1964 as an NBC exclusive, hosted by the late Art Fleming. Later on, a syndicated version (the one that's more recognizable) debuted in 1984 and has been running ever since. Though a variety of guests have hosted the show during a significant portion of 2021 (with only one or two people securing the role of permanent host, one of whom decided not to host certain episodes of the last season and joined the recent Writers' Strike), Jeopardy's most famous host was the late Alex Trebek, who stayed on the show until he passed away in 2020. I thought I'd draw a Jeopardy! picture not just as part of my "Toons on Game Shows" series, but also as a tribute to Trebek.

Here's what I think a fictional Jeopardy! episode with Toon and/or Anthro characters would look like. I intentionally didn't add the host so that I could leave it ambiguous. I also made this look like a fake screenshot, as if it came from an ABC airing.

The three contestants are Dog (of Taco Bell's Nacho & Dog), Rachel the Ibis, and Sheep (from Sheep in the Big City, which began as a pilot on Cartoon Cartoons). Despite trying to escape from a ruthless General, Sheep somehow has enough time to guest-star on a game show. And I've never even seen his show, so I have no opinion on it. However, I thought it would be kinda funny if Sheep appeared as a Jeopardy! contestant.
