I particularly like it because is not the usual dragon copied by the movie that everybody tried to replay, but it's original and so damn well done. God job!

this is a really nice look to smaug. The only thing that sort of bugs me are his horns or those appendages on his head.

Horn might be a little much. The green eye contrasts sharply with the rest of his being. I do like the scruffle of hair under his chin, however. Depicts age.

That should be enough to describe the badassery of this, but if not, here you go:
Β The choice of color and lighting sets a perfect balance for mood and character portrayal. You can almost tell what kind of character Smaug is just by looking at this. And the interpretation is unique to say the least, very original. I love how it doesn't resemble any other artwork I've seen of him.
In short, bravo on this masterpiece.
