Awesome study particularly the violet mass of texture in the sky against the hotness of the light splashed against the side of the tavern. I'm curious to what program your using to paint and are you creating your own brushes to get your desired effect?

Hi Aaron,
Β I always admire your deep study into my pieces and your comments are much appreciated. To be honest, most of my work is done through Photoshop but I usually touch them up in a variety of photo software to get the right lighting effects. This technique varies from piece to piece as I get bored easily. I create my own brushes for Photoshop and apply a large, textured color palette to work for the strokes in the way I see fit.

Thank you. I have always been a huge fan of swirls ever since Tim Burton released The Nightmare Before Christmas. It is definitely going to be an element in my pieces moving forward.
