Come hike the Grand Canyon with me. I took these pictures many years ago when I hiked from the top of the Grand Canyon to the Colorado river below. Along the way I encountered barefoot tourists wandering about without a drop of water as if they thought this was Disneyland. The canyon is wild. there are scorpions, rattlesnakes, and HEAT! Lots and lots of HEAT! When you first arrive you might look over the edge and think you see a bird below but no, it's actually an airplane! Then you begin to realize just how big this thing is. But nothing can impress upon you the immensity of the canyon like taking a little walk to the bottom (and then the hard part, back up!)
