"Thou shall have no other God before me..."
"Thou shalt not make any graven image..."
Although I am not Christian, Muslim nor Jew (any faith can lead to enlightenment or confusion) I am familiar with the scripture.
I can understand Muslims being offended by the cariacatures of the prohet but feel the reaction is insane and hypocritical. Muslims also consider Jesus to be a prophet but I do not recall any such reaction when a jar of urine containing an image of this crucified prophet was displayed. (Christians protesters of that particular "artwork" were vocal, not violent.) I doubt that a cartoon of anyone would cause one to worship person thus characterized. However the uproar over these cartoons makes me wonder if Muhammed may already have elevated to godhood by these protesters.

well... if u think about it, u can understand their anger. I mean they have been portrayed as terrorists and they have fundamentalists whispering in their ear. Think about the reaction they had when pictures of guards torturing terrorist prisoners did so by abusing the Koran. Muslims take their religion very seriously, and to them this recent action by "the western world" is like the bitter icing on a very disgusting cake.
The violent reaction isn't their fault, fundamentalists are taking this huge oppertunity to feed the fires of hate and missunderstanding that people have against eachother.
