Not a very original title, but not a style I have turn out well very often. This one wouldn't take a gradient no matter what I tried, so I tried this in desperation.... it worked! Yay!
Can only be appreciated in FULL VIEW, so please do!

It's not completely B&W. The gradient I used has blue and tan in it too. Works great for the shading!

No filters. All I did was to adjust the levels a very little bit. I'm serious, it came out that way. Thanks!

That's beautiful! Like I have said to *baba49 , it's not easy to work with a white background: all the light is behind the objects and it's very difficult to give depth to the image. However, you have managed it very well, and have produced an awesome shellfish!

Thsi is actually the first one I've ever had turn out well. In color it was very flat. So as a last shot I tried the white background and there it was! Pure luck! Now I'm going to need to figure out how to do it on purpose, lol. Thank for the
