This game was developed in 2008 by Core Inc. and it was an attempt at the time to bring back an experience similar to the 2D Sonic games, given how disappointing the latest releases of this series were at that time. Unfortunately, the experiences of this development house were based on bootleg games and, not having the right budget, they canceled the project. Only a few concepts exist and this is what was found, including a very inappropriate Game Over screen at the time. Could this be another reason why it was cancelled?
