Description
The "tattoo" design was originated in about 2010-13 and has become my permanent signature on my artwork both digital and traditional. It represents Africa via a metaphor of "sunrise over the pyramids." It's an idea that goes back to the dawn of civilization. It also represents my interest in symbols and their use in design and art - as well their manifestation in dreams and the unconscious.

I am a unique artist in that I "tag" my own work where most simply "sign" their art. That makes me a graffiti artist of sorts. I like to tag "Africa"- the place where I find some of my origins and also my mystique.
