Description Well, as the chevrotain dolphins were such a succes, I decided to make one last member of the group. So here we have it, the biggest and the baddest form to ever stalk the Earth. Wonderful, if you realize that this future-Kronosaurus evolved from this small and gentle creature: [link]
Although 96 million years of evolution is a lot! Here we go:

Magnocetos ingidentissimus, a rather primitive member of the Tragulocetacea, informally known as chevrotain-whales, and a distant relative of the slightly older suchocete: [link] It lives some 96 million years from now (Middle-Analom) in the warmer parts of the Atlantic ocean. It is the largest predator in the oceans and makes food out of litterally every other animal of significant size that crosses his path. It is one of the largest members of the Tragulocetacea and is despite its size still fast and streamlined. Some facts about the creature:

Length: up to 10 meters
Number of teeth: 90
Upper jaw: 22 - 22
Lower jaw: 23 - 23
Feeds on: fish, sharks, turtles, other chevrotain-dolphins and chevrotain-whales and even marine crocoracoons.
Ememies: adults are top predators and have no enemies, juveniles are usually safe when they stay with their mom. If they wander off, they might become prey to a marine crocoracoon, although this happens only to really young individuals, as slightly older ones are already too big for the crocoracoons.

Some features:
*Just like all chevrotain-whales and chevrotain-dolphins it relies mainly on sight as they have no sonar.
*Has no fin on its back.
*Still has hindflippers which it can move.
*Has a manouverable neck.
*All teeth are modified molars.
*Doesn't enter the land any more, but in case it strands, it can often crawl back with lots of effort (if not too far from the shoreline).

Awesome! I'll start some rough sketches, but it'll be finished tomorow. I have a question about the hindlegs. Are they free from the backbone like in ichthyosaurs?

Thanks a lot! I'm already eager to see it!

No, the hindlegs are attached to the backbone. Actually the chevrotain-whales have quite a big pelvis and especially large shoulder blades as the limbs were actively involved in swimming.

Oh I gotcha.
You know, once I am doing them "as they should be" I really want to make them "spot on"
One more question. the smaller rear flippers also have four digits?

Cool. All right

It's still funny how "devergent" our concepts were, don't you think?

yeah It was a big shock for me, because I thought we'll come up with quite similar outcomes...
