Tokiha Mai from Mai-Hime. Watched it a long time ago, but finally got around to painting something from it.A bit of an old anime, but any fans of the franchise still around? If you are a fan of Yuki Kajiura, then it is definitely worthwhile checking out the ost for Mai-Hime/Otome. I didn't realize it at first, but a lot of my favourite music from her ended up being from this franchise.
Still hoping that the fake trailer will one day be turned into an actual movie...hopefully before 20006. Arika would make for an awesome villain.

Wow, truly an amazing piece for Mai.
She is a great character for anime, fluid, fun, caring but also real in how she struggles in her personal life, so it's always great for me to see when she is used as it's sadly not very often.

You know I found your art after listening to Blumenkranz (that song though), wondering who Ragyo Kiryuin is. I gotta say you're art is amazing, there's no denying that, I just wonder what Priscilla or Ciaran from Dark Souls would look like in your art style... anyway, this is amazing and I'll be sure to keep an eye on you from now on.

It's still relaxing. I don't even know why but...it's fire so I thought especially with this amount I feel, tense atleast a little but, somehow I'm so calm when I look at this. I mean, she's beautiful. Good job on this.

Β I've watched Mai Hime and Mai Otome series but actually I think that I prefer the first one more.

Β My favourite song from the OST is called 'Mezame' if I remember correctly.
As for the picture - I'm always surprised by people's skills, whether it's digital or traditional art. Personally, I completely can't use any drawing/designing computer programmes so it's a magic for me. XD I totally love the final effect of the picture - the semi-realistic style, great body proportions and raging flames really do capture attention.

I think I prefer Mai-Hime as well. I find Mai to be a more interesting protagonist than Arika.
Mezame is great, probably my favourite from hime. Sei Otome no Inori is probably my favourite from otome. I think they are both battle themes.
