That's nuts... The Hammer and Sickle is far less offensive to most of the world than the Nazi Swastika.

Cape held on by some accessories that have...unfortunate placement. Still better than Power Girl's suit!

An otherwise solid design, but with one critical (and hilarious) flaw. To be fair, at least it wasn't intentional. Like the Val Kilmer Bat-Nipples. Even to this day, I'm like: "What the hell was even up with that?"

Batman Forever (1995). YouTube critics crack jokes about that design to this very day. They say it was inspired more by Joel Schumaker's fetishes than by anything pragmatic or beneficial to the character. He interpreted "make everything lighter and softer than Tim Burton" with "make everyone gay, make everything cartoonish and cheesy, and flood every other scene with pink neon."
So we went from creepy weird and dark, to creepy, weird, and really goofy. And then Nolan happened. And since then, filmmakers nearly destroyed franchises (and themselves) by trying to turn everything into Nolan knock-offs.

Pretty much. And yet, y'wanna hear something hilarious? I've heard that, when it comes to blending into the darkness, dark blue is actually a better colour than black, because black can have an outline at times in shadows. So, with that in mind, out of every live action Batman you've ever seen, who do you think would be able to do Batman's hiding in the shadows best?

Depends on a variety of factors. Fabric choice, lighting of nearby environment (especially the sky), etc.
Having played PS4 Spider-Man, I can tell you that none of the outfits seem to be any more or less visible than the other to enemy NPCs. You can wear the Noir suit and be spotted immediately, or wear the Spirit Spider and have a blue flame skull for a head, and be undetected. You can also be spotted if you're behind an enemy and totally silent, if your mere body heat is detectable to them from 40 feet away. Sable may use some sort of radar that makes that make sense. But not the Fisk thugs. Which means games have their own internal logic.
Now, if you're out in the desert swinging from the tops of buttes, then yes, dark blue is a wiser color for blending in. Especially if it's not shiny material. The Val Kilmer suit though...is way too shiny.
I'm actually experimenting more with suit design, particularly for Emeraldon and Ciem. They need something while in Ameristan that will help them get around without being spotted by Affadidah's troops during spy missions. Donte's default Emeraldon suit glows green, and makes him look like he's made of Matrix code or something. Not great for stealth. Candi's Ciem suits are a blaze orange, meant to resemble the Michigan stone centipede. Great for battling in a volcanic war zone; not so great for making yourself invisible and hiding in shadows.
Taterbug has heightened sense of awareness when wearing sackcloth, hence her overcoat being sackcloth. Otherwise, she wears a traditional cat burglar suit beneath it. It depends to her on whether or not she needs to be aware of her environment, or able to hide in shadows more. With some Zeran wardrobes taken from Candi's spare pack, Celia is able to easily go back and forth between having the overcoat on or not having it on, without leaving evidence behind if things get messy. Using spare Zeran teleporters also seized from Candi's backup stash, she in some ways becomes better at stealth than Candi herself.
And unlike Candi, Celia also learns how to properly use a grappling hook and other spy gear. Making her a better infiltrator, whereas Candi is a scrapper for when being spotted is a foregone conclusion and there is no longer need for subtlety (but not yet a need to call in the big guns like Extirpon or Emeraldon.)
