I look back to when we first met,

When it all started leading one to another,
And we'd assign our seats to your favourite number.
The telltale signs of what we were feeling,
Crippling our walls - collapsing ceilings,
Rushing for cover in our arms
As the world around us fell apart yet
We were safer with eachother.
Burning suns of judgement fell from above,
Piercing darkness to us - the pair, the turtle dove.
Our wings now free, we rose to new heights,
As king and queen - no longer pawns on a chessboard.
Together we never ignored
Our smiles,
Our freedom,
Our childish games,
Our passion days.
