I see their eyes wet when they wake.
I see their face drain - pale white;
I see their shadow that they make.
I hear them scream into their pillows;
I hear them sobbing in the rain.
I hear them cursing at their memories;
I hear them falling with the pain.
To choose to live in such a way;
To choose to remember everyday;
To choose to long for memories;
To choose to self-imprison and not be free.
They live in moments gone.
They stab their hearts to feel the pain.
They choose not to carry on.
They have only themselves to blame.
