Description
We all face the massive outcomes of the film series in tremendous ways as possible, but I find interesting that this game wasn't part of any video game playlist of any kind. So today, I presented a review on the second entry to the Bayformers game series. While it isn't phenomenally made alike to many other games back at the time, it's still fun to play even to this day. Once I got the game, I was very hype to try it out after receiving the HDMI Splitter with it; and time went by shield getting used to the controls. If there's anything that sucks for this though, the DLC park that used to be on PlayStation Store has disappeared along with other content from later installments; since clearly Activition already lost the rights to the franchise.
Anyhow, for the game itself; I've enjoy it and possess a swell time after placing it in the PS3. Sure, there remain some flaws that's incredibly noticeable; like the repetition of the missions becoming bothersome, open-world maps that are quite smaller than 2007, and simplistic storytelling throughout the dialogue and cut-scenes alongside with characters standing around afterwards, but at least the game is highly focused on the titular characters without any human involvement stealing the spotlight. In fact, the humans were positioned to the side and utilized in escort missions to progress the game further. I bet that's exactly what the audience is hoping for when this film was announced; until that
Writers' Strike
ordeal didn't allow any of that to flourish, so the results were flimsy either way.
The soundtrack
I posted back at YouTube
is one of the best video game soundtracks next to
Prelude To Energon
and
Devastation
. Sure, the music doesn't have the same fluidity and identification as many other game franchises, but the effort is very good and I've remember several themes from it. The graphics, character designs, and the environment are massive improvements from its predecessor; but it does have a sense of blandness at the end due of some similarities of Gmod maps. I'll admit, the story itself is honestly not the best and could've been handled better if more time was settled in; but I rather fathom with this than what the film interpreted. The voice cast did awesome jobs representing the characters they fill in, and one of the Autobots is exclusively presented on this game besides
Dark Of The Moon
; considering the aerial-bot was supposed to be in the film instead. The boss battles are equally entertaining and it made players think twice on how they're gonna face them down besides the simple "shoot first, ask questions later" idea; in addition of identifying each Transformer than being placed on the background.
Despite all the letdowns, I still considered it as one of my favorite games.
