Its been nearly 3 years since I first made this model, and I can't even show the original version as I overwrited the file on the download with the 1.1.Version 3.0 is in no way complete yet, he still has issues I'd like to address but already I can see progress from even just the last update in January of 2015.
He was the first model of mine that became popular somewhat, and even still sometimes his 1.2 version is used in videos and pictures. I love each of them so much! I have a playlist on youtube filled with videos people have credited in me and I just love going back and watching them.
I was given so much support with this model from the very beginning from the jacket being made for me to the boots! Everyone who's helped with him throughout the years, I'm forever grateful.
I don't know if I'll be updating Koujaku, but at the moment I'm happy with the result of the quick update I gave Aoba using some parts off of another edit I've made.

3.0 is my favorite. I really love how detailed Aoba's jacket is. Great job on the model.

I'm actually torn between versions 1.1 and 1.2 because they seem to be the most well proportioned. I do think I like 1.2 best though because the face looks the best. 2 and 3's art styles seem to clash with themselves because some of it is semi-realistic and some of it is rather stylized. The hair's also a little off because it looks a little large on the sides, but small near the top, causing their heads to seem like they've been squished.

I don't really understand what you mean by well-proportioned to be honest, they look very disproportionate to me. But I'm glad you lie 1-1.2 so much!
My goals for each update is to make him look more and more like the sprites from the game and that's why the faces are replaced, because Aoba doesn't have big anime eyes
