Evangeline 's parents, Sarafina and Esban, aren't really the type of people to gush over anything magic or supernatural - in fact, they are uttely against it. "Magic is dangerous, magic is inappropriate for a refined aristocrat, magic is barbaric and chaotic," is what Eva hears from her folks most of the time. Though, their attempts to forbid daughter's use of magic usually come apart quickly, as the spirited girl finds a way to secretly improve and train her earthly abilities.
She does share stubborness and dramatic flair with her mother though. But Esban, on the other hand, is normally the voice of reason in this family. His favourite things in the world are the quiet, good books and riding off for occassional fox and wildfowl chase. Sara is the one who drags him to all kinds of parties and soirees; one never fails to wonder where does she find all that energy to go out so often xD
