The piece that has been my personal baby for the past two weeks. I was redoing (again) my giant robot mesh, when I was struck with the desire to revisit a different part of my early (horrible) works. The Colonies.

Using all that I've learned over the years since that first set of colonies, with tips and tricks and a new desktop PC, I have reimagined these two colonies, with more detail, more components and...well, more gribbly bits and random lights to make them look a bit less blank.

This was rendered at something like 4K size, but that was too big, so I resized it to a standard 1920x1080 size in Windows Paint. So as a result, you can't zoom in and squint and try and see the little specks of shuttles passing between and around each colony.
