His eye glisters like fire when he sights the shore which fills him with desire.
See how the stallions surge with every wave once they have caught the scent of the land upon the salty breeze.
Once free of Neptune's Mediterranean chariot he raced — spray curled with the waves that brought him in.
Now he stands and stares,
as did I that moment so long ago in 1493"
