It's a brand new year, which means it's also time for brand new drawings! (....and some old ones that I didn't get the chance to submit before 2011 ended. )

So here's something slightly different! After reading the first volume of the re-published Sailor Moon manga AND Codename: Sailor V, I got inspired to draw fanart! This would be my first shot (since middle school, anyway) at drawing one of the main characters-- in this case, I drew Minako! I only used a couple of references for this. Took some elements from the manga and what I could remember from the anime~ Some parts could look better, but......overall, it doesn't look bad!

Aside from coloring this, my favorite part was making the background all textured and sparkly. SPARKLES ARE AWESOME.
