Description I drew this for my website, as a mascot of the "Transformers" fanart-page. As you see, he's not completely human - he's a cyborg! (I got one art of him as a cyborg at my website and y!gal.)

He's just too adorable not to be shown here~! And look, he's showing off his moves - just like he did in the first movie. ;D

*snickers* I already wrote you a comment on this one once but... as I just saw it again posted in BeexSam group that I joined recently... I noticed something that I would like to ask you. How did you do it with the background that looks the same colour as the deviantart bg? I am assuming this pic is png and you left it with a transparent background?
I did my newest ID like that, with a small stipe in transparent but when I uploaded the png, it was suddenly black. I was not exactly happy and in the end just coloured the background the same colour as the deviantart page but... that's not that I wanted. So, if you have any suggestion what you have done with this pic or what I might have done wrong. I worked out my ID in photoshop by the way.

Heh!
Actually, this is a jpeg. And I did the same as you. *sighs* Some of my friends have done the same thing as well - saved them from headaches as they were battling with the transparent png-pics. I have to agree with them. XD
I have tried to make the background transparent also, but I too ended up with the same result... u_u;

Oh okay. At last it's good to know that I am not the only one having problems with that. And here I thought I did something wrong when I saved the photoshop file as an png. When I saw all the other pictures before I just assumed that those were transparent pngs and uploading those on deviantart was working just fine. But I suspect that maybe everyone did it like we did and just took the colour from deviantart as background. ^^
Thanks for the info. *hugs*
So, how has your week been so far if I may ask? *curious* Since we write each other a lot I though I make some small talk this time. Besides, I am curious, have you also to fight a lot with all the snow coming down? Personally we are a bit lucky. Our place is in the north of Germany, we didn't get the full package like the rest of the country. It's still much, though through all the unpleasantries that snow brings in the everyday life, I still have to admit I LOVE it. I usually hate winter, because within the last years there has been no snow. I decided that I should enjoy this one chance because who knows, that might be the last big snow I get to see for a long time.

Oh, one thing before I go off. Since you know a lot about Transformers... I've looked over the newest pictures of the clubs and somewhere I've read that there is a Transformer called Lifewire. Is that true, is there really a Transformer with that name? ;_; Because I've started writing that Bee/Sam story I mentioned to you some time ago and I was searching for names for the mech version of some of the humans and... one I choose was for a certain girl to become the femme 'Lifewire'. Of course I can't go with that name if there already exists a Transformer with that name. *sighs*

Anyway, I wish you a good night. I have to go to bed now. See yah around! *waves and crawls under her covers*

You're welcome. ^^
This week? Well, feeling a bit flu'ish. No fever, though. And this morning, I had an interview and I did went there. No small flu'ish feeling can stop me! Until I returned home, the flu caught me. Gah. DX I do like winter and the snowy sceneries... it's just I hate being sick and cold weathers. Brr.
Now it's not so cold out there like it was on last week. And there's *lots* of snow out there~! Sooo beautiful~! The trees are all snowy and pretty looking! *o* I have been taking photos of the snowy sceneries and I will take more - once I'm well enough. u_u; And yes, it's quite a struggle to walk around - even thought they have cleared the roads from most of the snow. *sighs* I wish to go to ice-skate... someday, now I bought myself new pair of ice-skates. ^^

As for Transformer: No. I looked from TF Wiki-page and found no Transformer with that name. There is one called Life Spark - a Decepticon. But that's it.

Well then, I will be off to my bed also... need some rest to get rid of this flu'ish feeling.

The flu, oh you poor thing. I know exactly how you feel. Second last year I caught the stupid flu just at the end of the year. My mother's boyfriend has his birthday on 30th December and he celebrated that day. We went into a restaurant and I was sitting there, drinking tea over tea, nose running, freezing, but strangely enough with a lot of hunger. I eat the main meal and the dessert and felt at last good about that. Still, every time someone entered the place I shuddered badly so I thought it was because of the cold that came through the open door. My mom then put her hand on my forhead and then said it would be a good idea for me to go home and get into bed because she was sure I had fever. I went home and, yes I had a fever which stayed with me for the next three days. What I way to celebrate new year. That had been the first time in AGES I've been ill. *sighs* That start into the year had been a bad sign for me and I've been right. 2009 turned out a really stupid year for me. Anyway, back to you.

An interview, I hope that one went well and you'll get the post?

OOoh, another thing we have in common here. I was also out the last weeks since the snow fell, taking lots and lots of photos. I added my favourites to deviantart. The rests are in my folder. I am pretty content with the pictures I took so far. Though I had a round of bad luck when I found a group of deers, the pictures turned out too bright, the snow looked like I simply delete parts of the picture and added white. *sighs* So I plan within the next days to do another shooting and hopefully I will also finally find some buzzards to take photos of as well.

Ice skating sounds nice. We can't do it here, because the lakes are not frozen enough. But maybe they will be within the next few days. I've heard the cold will stay for a while now.
By the way, I hate being sick and the cold as well when it comes to winter. The snow is the only good thing about it in my opinion.

Thank Primus for that. I only overflew the comment because I had not much time and then I forgot to remember where it was written down in all my panic. XD It would have been sad if I had to rename Mikaela. I think Livewire is a really good name for her Autobot form. ^^

Okay, you sleep well then and take care. Get well soon. Well talk again, that's for sure. ^^

Aah... that's too bad. One of my friends was also at a hospital on Christmas Eve. But she got out on Christmas day. ^^ However, the doctor said she should stay put at home for weeks, until her medication was over. Meaning, not only that she missed seeing her friends, she also missed the New Year... But now, she's okay and I got to see her last Saturday. ^^ (And then it was my turn to be sick... XP )

Yes, as for the interview, it went well. I got a job or more like job-in-training now. At the English play school. I could have started it sooner, but because of this flu I had to postpone the meeting to Monday. I do hope I'm cured by then. Still have a small flu... seems to be easing up now. But I think after Monday, I will be working at the English play school for a month and after the month, we will talk about if I want to work for them longer. ^^

Heh. It would be amazing if I manage to take a photo of a really white hare or a fox. Once and a while, a fox appears into our backyard. Foxes are really rare sight in the city like ours. Lahti (where I live) isn't so big like our capital city Helsinki... but it's not small either.

Oh, I can go to ice-skating at the schools' yards nearby on weekends (once I'm healed from the flu, that is). But I have once ice-skated on lake's ice. ^^ It was safe - the ice was *really* thick.

You're welcome. I think I have once read a fanfic, where the original Transformer's name was Lifewire... Close, but not quite. But it's pretty common for fans to come up with similar names by pure luck. Heck, I once found few years - by accident - that someone wrote a sci-fi fanfic with a world named "Ardonia" in it. About 12-13 years ago... I came up with an original story named: "Ardonia". Pure coincidence. After finding the similar name, I just re-named the story with another name. (I like to be original...)

*grumbles* 'Great* I've been half through answering your message when my stupid laptop decided to crash again and leave me with having to write everything again. Since I am a bit tired I hope you'll forgive me for mistakes and maybe holding my answers a bit shorter.

Anyway, about your friend, that must have sucked. Yet, there is one thing we can say about this: This should only happen once in our life, so since we already had the 'leasure' of no New Year, it should not happen again. ^^

Cool, so you are more or less on your way to be a job-in-training as well? I am one too, as design assistant and I learn that in school, not with a company. Sadly that also means I don't earn money and have to pay for my train tickets and so on.
Anyway, I hope your internship will turn out well and you want to work there longer. I wish you fun for it and to stay healthy. ^^

Cool, you are lucky, if you sometimes see foxes in your backyard. I think I only saw one once or twice in my life and then so far away that I didn't really see them at all. Sad, really because I like foxes. ^^ I live in a small town, so chances are good that you might spott the one or other animal that usually would not turn up in the big cities. ^^

Years ago we were able to go ice skating in our town's park's lake. But since it's not cold enough long enoug... not a chance to happen so far. -_-

Urg... now that I read how you wrote that 'Lifewire' with an 'f'... not close that name of the original but just exactly the way I wanted to name Mikaela. I think I will NEVER remember the damn difference between 'the life' and 'to live'. *bangs her head against desk in frustration* So, it's the name of an original, but still I want to use it for Mik. At last it's not a real Transformer, so I can live with it. ^^

Well, when it comes to my original stories I want to be original as well. I have a story that I gave a name that I even searched through google first to make sure that my name did not already exists. The names of my characters were supposed to be strange sounding and unique. ^^

WOah, finally done. No quickly sending this to your before that stupid computer decides to crash again. -_-;
Hear from your hopefully! ^^

Oh dear... Seems like everyone has a computer(laptop problem. I got too... my laptop either works *very* slowly when it opens a file/program or works just fine. Or gets stuck in process. u_u; (I need a new computer... no more laptops, please.)

So true. She said that: "Well, at least I got to experience that and now I know what it feels like to be a pincushion." (She happens to hate needles, so being given shoots was very brave act from her.)

As for the job-in-training: a day away from the moment of truth. XD I do hope I get it. If I do get it, then good-bye boring days and hello little change! XDD Until now, it have been: staying at home, try not to spend all the money, looking for a job/job-in-training, meeting my friends, draw, read, watch TV and browse around on internet... *sighs* (Boring, I tell you.)
Design assistant? Wow, that's cool, nonetheless. ^^

Yeah, it's rare to see forest animals in a city. Squirrels and rabbits, yes. Foxes, no. I rarely see foxes in our backyard too. This was the 4th time in my life I have seen them. I see more rabbits/hares than foxes. I once saw a least weasel, sniffing around our backyard's door. It was so cute and snowy~! (Too bad I didn't get a photo of it.)

Aww... ^^

Yes, 'life' and 'live' are easily mixed up. ^^ You will remember the differences in time.
Anyway, 'Lifewire' sounds like a good name for Mikaela.

Same here. I like to come up with original names for my characters. But of course, if I got Finnish characters, they will get a Finnish names. I do try to avoid naming them with a same name as someone I know in real life...

Hehehe, to be honest, my computer is even worse. When it crashed all those years ago I lost everything, including the photos that were not replacable. Also, my computer has this loser version 'Windows ME' so when I tried to retrieve my programs I had to find out that I would no longer be able to use most of them because there were only the newer versions out and those were not working with Windows ME. *grumbles* Therefor I am quite thankful for my little laptop. It's not that young anymore and a computer virus is something you can get with computer or laptop, so it doesn't really matter. By the way, when my computer or laptop started acting up I simply reinstalled them. It helped a lot. Did you try that with yours?

Oh I feel so with your friend. I am afraid of needles myself. Can't stand them. But last year I had an unfortunate stay in the hospital for six days with infusion and taking blood from me every second day for checking. *sighs* Was no fun at all and I am again and again surprised that I am able to force myself to stay relaxed enough so it won't hurt more. Yet, I only dislike the small prick not the taking of blood or such. In fact I usually need to watch so I can prepare myself for it to happen and I like to find out how much I can tolerate to watch. Gah, now I am starting to go too deep in details, am I? *blushes* Sorry, I think I will stop right now. ;

So, tomorrow is the big day, huh? Then I wish you luck and fun. I know exactly what you mean with sitting around at home. At the beginning it was nice but in the end I was just wasting myself away. -__- I am glad that I found a place to start a job-in-training. And hopefully in 1 1/2 years I'll find a real job in that area. ^^

Wow, that sound's sweet. I don't live in a big city, yet I think I will never see a fox or squirrel in front of my door, especially since we live in a flat/apartment, not a house. *sighs* My parents would like to move into a house, but it's not possible because it's too expensive and with the way the people don't have money nowadays it's also quite difficult to sell our flat. Ah well, at last we have the fields nearly in front of your living place and I can go down there and see some of the wild animals. ^^

Mmmmh, now I've started to get unsure I have to admit. Till now I thouhg 'Lifewire' would be correct but just now I found out that 'lively' is written with 'v' and that's the word I had more or less in the back of my mind when I created that name. So in the end I guess it's 'Livewire', at long last. Thanks for agreeing that it is a good name for Mikaela. ^^ I am happy to hear that.

Yes, that's something I do as well. It would be kind of strange if I name a character after someone I know. It might even happen that, even though the character is not supposed to be the way that friends is like, that I unconciously start to write that character like my friend just because the name reminds me of said friend. Therefor own names, never known from friends or family is far better. ^^

You might consider of getting yourself an external hard drive to where you can save all your photos and files, just in case if your computer crashes all the sudden. (It's kinda an extra hard drive, that is plugged into your computer.) I do make back-up saves on CD-ROMs... ^^
As for my laptop's situations: it usual goes back to its old self once I re-start the computer. This is its 6th year now... how it survived this long? Well, once it completely crashed and that was year and half later from its shopping day. Luckily, the guaranty was still on. ^^ After that first crash down, I "clean" it up twice a month. Run it over with the security-programs and cookie-cleaning programs. Also open it up from the beneath, to clean up the dusts away from the fan. If you don't clean the dusts away, it will overheat itself, which also might be the reason for the laptop's shutdowns/crashings.

Well now. Today was my meeting with the person at the play school and starting tomorrow, I will be working there for a month for starters. The kids might be speaking in Finnish there, but we employees will be speaking in English so the kids keep using English at home. One of my cousins is married to an Irish man and they got 3 kids - speaking both Finnish and English. ^^ It's improtant for kids to learn both their parents' native language.

Squirrels are an every-day sight here - especially on summers. Winters... well, you don't see them so often. ^^

Heh! XD

PharaohxYuugi In reply to k-tiraam [2010-01-18 16:59:54 +0000 UTC]

Oh I already have an external hard drive, but I just don't save my stuff there every day. Though, back then when my computer crashed I am not sure if external hard drives were even already on the market. If they were I didn't hear from those and I guess they also would have been far too expensive. I did save my stuff on CD back in the old days but... also that I did not do every day. I just had really, really bad luck I guess.

*coughs* I admit beside the dayly virus scans I do I am not that nice to my laptop. I am hopeless when it comes to technic sometimes, therefor I wouldn't dare to open my laptop to clean the fan. Though the problem I have with my laptop right now doesn't come from any of this. It's wearout of the cover since you have to move it every time you start and end the laptop. The light is no longer working so they have to replace it.
Well, besides having to rely on the external monitor for now my laptop is working fine since the reinstallment I did over weekend. Thank goodness the stupid virus is all gone. *sighs*

Oh, well I am curious to find out how you liked your first day with the children. Ah yes, you country is very good with English, I remember. So it should not surprise me that you already start using English with the children at playschool. Sometimes I wish they would have such a system in Germany too. Would be nice learn and love English from the very beginning and not only after meeting the world of fanfics over ten years ago.

Same here. We don't see squirrels in winter but second last year, when I was walking with my foster dog, I saw a lot of them in spring. I hope this year will be like that as well and I can take some photos. ^^

Well I think I will now take a short half an hour nap before I have to leave for volleyball training. I feel really tiered and not a bit motivated. But I am sure at last the last part will come when I am already there, I know myself. ^^

k-tiraam In reply to PharaohxYuugi [2010-01-18 19:20:59 +0000 UTC]

Ah, I see. ^^

Well, whatever works the best for your laptop. ^^ My friend - who knows alot about computers and laptops - did say that dusts are (at some point) the reason why the computers/laptops crashes. If the fans aren't properly cleaned from the dust, they might cause the overheating, which causes the crashes. There are other ways to clean the dusts away: one of those cans with air pressure... (still don't know what they are called). They are helpful not only to clean the computers from inside, but also the keyboards.

Well, by the end of this week, I will tell how my days at the play school went. Tomorrow, I will go ice-skating with the kids. (It's a good thing I bought new pair of ice-skates! )
This play school is mostly for the children, whose families comes from another country or like my cousin's case, one of the parents' native language is English. There might be children whose parents do want their kids to learn English in early age. Mostly the Finnish children will learn/study English in third grade. (Like I did.)

Heh. It's good to take naps before trainings. ^^ Speaking of which, I better go to bed early because I have an early wake-up call in the morning. *Really* early.

👍: 0 ⏩: 1

PharaohxYuugi In reply to k-tiraam [2010-01-18 22:09:05 +0000 UTC]

Well, I heard about the problem with the dust once or twice as well, so I believe that it certainly is true and I should really consider, when I have to give it to repain anyway to ask for a cleaning as well. A bit money more or less doesn't matter anymore if the repair itself is already so expensive. *sighs* And I guess it's work to make sure my laptop stay healthy for a bit longer. ^^

Ah okay, do that. I am looking forward to hear from it. ^^
I see what you mean with people from another country. Doesn't that mean that the children in the end will learn three different languages? Finnish, English and their own language? Wow, a lot of languages to know then. ^^ Oh you still had it better than me with learning English. We only started to learn it in our fifth grade. And with learning it in school I learned to hate English for the next nine years. It wasn't until I started reading fanfiction of a series that was not so well known in Germany yet, therefore I had to deal with the English stories if I wished to read more, that I learned to speak English well and by know I love the fact that I am good at English. There are so many wonderful stories out there that I would have missed if I did not understand English. And all the nice people I could talk to. ^__^ Like you for example. XD

Ah well, didn't really sleep well enough. But at last I felt awake during training and right now I am awake enough that I hope I will be able to type a bit more of my fanfiction stuff. Since I can't take the laptop with me at the moment I have to write my story ideas per hand and later type them up on the computer. It's a pain in the aft but what else can I do? I want to write my story. XD

Right, and since I am supposed to not leave for bed too late I should right now come to an end and get my things done.
Wish you tomorrow a wonderful fun day at ice skating. ^^

👍: 0 ⏩: 1

k-tiraam In reply to PharaohxYuugi [2010-01-23 20:54:14 +0000 UTC]

It's true about the repairing costs. If it comes to that point for me, I would rather buy a new computer than have my laptop fixed.

Heh. Well, I will have to write a journal about my first working week. ^^ Tomorrow, I will.
As for learning the languages: it depends on their parents what languages they will learn besides English and Finnish - at first. Once the kids are old enough to decide, then they will choose what language they want to learn. ^^ Yes, without English, I wouldn't have met you or my other friends from another countries. ;D

It's good to have the story written down on the paper. I mostly do that, if I can't be next to my laptop writing it. I usually get ideas for fics when I'm away from the laptop.

👍: 0 ⏩: 1

PharaohxYuugi In reply to k-tiraam [2010-01-23 21:35:06 +0000 UTC]

*sighs* Unfortunately that would cost a lot more and I don't have the money anyway.

Oh, okay I am looking forward to read it. Could you maybe send me a note so I know when it's online? I usually don't have any journals on watch besides the club ones.

Ah okay I see with the languages. Personally I am not too motivated at learning languages even though it would be helpful. I am happy I learned English through reading fanfics and I am currently trying to learn Japanese. But besides those two I don't think I will learn anything else. I had French in school yeeeeeeears ago, but I did not do well. And by now I forgot everything. *coughs*
Yes, same here. And it's even better when the people I 'meet' don't live too many countries away so that there are chances to visit. For example I started talking so much to one fanfic author and then found out she lives in Denmark. I now hope that she will be able to visit me within the next weeks. Don't know if it will work since she seems to be busy with work and I am not sure how the weather is at her place but... it would be so great to meet fellow Transformers fans from other countries with whom you can talk about so, so much. ^^ I would prefer to be able to say that I could visit them as well but... sadly I need more money for that. But since I got back my part time job I am hopeful that I might be able to save a bit of money to be able to do the travelling this year. Would be nice. ^^ Speaking of distances, you are also one of those not too far away from me, aren't you? At last Finland is nearer than Japan or USA. ^^

Okay, that's a problem. Doesn't happen too often to me since in the past I was taking my laptop with me to a lot of places anyway. But... right now, have to entertain myself with something on my way to school and back and therefore I write with pencil what I come up with in case of stories. ^^
However, personally I think the worst situation is when you are about to fall asleep and THEN you are hit with a good story idea. I HATE it. Since I just know I have forgotten all about it in the morning I have no other choice but to get up and either restart my computer or grab paper and pencil. Oh I've lost hours of a good nights sleep over this. >.< Still I love writing too much to curse it forever.

Yeah...

Ooh~! True that the distant between German and Finland is shorter than USA or Japan. ^^ And you don't need to change euros into other funds. ^^

Heh! Yeah, that's annoying sometimes. Or that you just loose the story plot or get a writer's block. I had an idea for a sequel to my X-men fic, but I lost the idea and then came the writer's block. D'oh!

Jepp, that's quite practical. XD Euros have it's good points after all. Even though things became far more expensive, even after all that politicans promised that will not happen. As if anyone believed them. What did they think we are, stupid?
And about the distance... well if you like maybe we two could arrange to meet one day as well? ^^ Would be nice to meet new people from other countries personally.

Yeah know that, been there. It's not fun. The most worse thing about losing ideas though is if you already wrote something down and THEN your computer crashes and you lose it all. You will never be able to write it down right the same way, and every time it happened to me I didn't like the rewritten version as much as I liked the first version. *sighs*

Yepp, same here with Germany. I can't even visit my best friend right now and she doesn't live THAT far away (though far enough since she had to move from north Germany to more the middle of it).

But I am hopeful that now with my new past time job (or better yet, it's the old one but I was supposed to leave by the end of last year and then they regretted their decision and ask me if I wanted to start again, which I accepted) I will have a chance to save more money again and hopefully I might be able to visit you, if you like? Who knows, maybe that will work out. ^^

How sweet! *squeals* He looks just so nice like this, showing off his moves with confidence. I love it (though I am still waiting for the next picture in your series of human Transformers, meaning Megatron XD)!

Hee! Thank you! Ah, yes, human!Megatron: coming soon! (I have been colouring gift-pics for a friend of mine who's leaving from the city to study arts in two weeks.)

Ooooh, I know exactly how you might feel about that. My best friend leaving for another town far away (though still in my country) tomorrow. It's sad even though it's good she found a job but it still feels a bit unreal. *sighs* Ah anyway, of course such works have top priority. Looking forward then to your next piece of work. XD
