For and his roommate, both of whom reminded me of the song (Bronte by Gotye).
Seriously. All of you. Go listen to it.
Inspired in part by the Big Head Challenge put out by years ago~but I didn't use very many colors...only 23 (which is more than I usually do as a pixel artist, but still less than many people).

I only use a trackpad too! But, this looks so much better then what I'd expect on a trackpad.

I do have a mouse as well, and some of the other art I have was done with a mouse. ^^ But this was made while I was on a laptop without my mouse. (:

Yes, most of the colors are in her skin alone, mostly due to the background being rather simplistic (i.e., atmospheric and lacking detail). Only 6 of the 23 colors are in the background itself. Allow 1 for the white outline, and the grey tones make up 16 of the entire picture.

It's kind of hard, but I just add shadows as I go along (usually I make a pretty contrasting palette, then make 'transition' tones to make it smoother~) so it isn't so hard. xD
