What does ESP mean? I've heard it a couple of times but I never got the actual meaning of it

Extra Sensory Perception. Basically it means any sense outside of taste, touch, sight, smell and hearing. (for example being able to detect Chaos energy)
The whole glowy thing doesn't actually have anything to do with ESP, they just called it that in Sonic Runners. this should help.
