Description
I stumbled upon two black-capped chickadees digging out a nest in a tree trunk. Both were welcoming of me and a few passersby that stopped to watch them. I noticed one of them had white streaks on its black cap, which I've never seen on a chickadee before. After the nest was complete, the leucistic chickadee hopped inside and peered out adoringly at me. It was a great start to my day.Nikon D850
