Ah-ha! BUT - it *does* use high-fancy modern hack-techniques to coax more out of the original C64 colour palette! - I know this, as I used the appropriate tools to make them!
..but.. yes.. technically speaking these images would not have been possible at the height of the C64's gaming era, as the techniques hadnt been invented yet
