that's what the germans called those tanks, they had too exposed fuel tanks, just a well placed panther shot could pierce it and make it burst into flames

The Sherman got the 'Tommy cooker' moniker due to the Brits stuffing in as much ammo as they could. Later US versions had a wet ammo rack that prevented the shells from detonating. Also, the Panther and Pz Kfw. IV caught on fire just as easily as the Sherman.
