Long time no see! And that's thanks to job searching and working on this commission . This took me a long time to make due to many factors: I made up my very own pattern for this, I experimented with any weird mechanics/techniques that I could think of to get those fins right, I had to learn how to crochet ovals for the nose, and I re-started the head literally 7 times to get the size and shape right :'D, and it's just huge! This Dratini turned out to be 31 inches long from snout to the tip of its tail. It was quite the process... It has two wires twisted together (for added strength) through its body and was stuffed lightly (I stuffed and re-stuffed it SO many times to try and get the right amount between being able to bend it and keeping its shape...) so that it could bend/pose more easily. The only part of this that I did not come with on my own is the head: I used a modified version of the 30 row Ideal Sphere from here: www.ravelry.com/patterns/libra… .

Hook size US I (5.50 mm)
Weight 4, 100% acrylic, Caron One Pound yarn color “Blue Grotto”
Weight 4, 100% acrylic, Red Heart super saver yarn color “White”
Black and white anti-pill fleece
Fiberfill
Two pieces of 18-gauge steel galvanized wire twisted together
Yarn needle
