A very nice portraiture overall. You did well at capturing the detail and emotion of the subject. It's certainly a very personal piece. The lighting is a little dark, however. The contrast over is good, but it's important for eyes to be seen in a portrait (unless, of course, you're purposely hiding the via blindfolds and whatnot), and the dark shadow from his cap makes that a little difficult. Everything else, however, looks quite fine.
