Description
The serpent ascend up the tree to search for a good place to rest and digest his midnight snack.

The weight of the big snake, and his fill, proved to be too much for one of the thinner branches Kaa’s lengthy body was slithering on, snapping and disintegrating.

Without skipping a beat, Kaa maneuvers his body to slither to another part of the tree, as this was a common occurrence for a python of Kaa’s mountainous size.

The noise, however, was enough to snap the slumped mancub out of his trance.

He awakes, breathing a bit heavy, still drowsy and now shocked at the sight all around him.

Thinking aloud to himself, muttering in fragments:
‘I-I’m trapped in these big coils...
‘And where’s Bag-
‘WHOA, there’s a big lump right next to me..

He studied the bulge more intently now, marveling at the size of the creature Kaa surely caught. The groggy mancub’s eyes grew like saucers, finally putting two and two together.

‘Buh-buh-BAGheer-uh!’ Mowgli cut himself off before fully spouting out the full name of his fallen friend.

He knew he had to escape and quick.
As luck would have it, Kaa loosened his grip on his prospective meal, when the branch broke earlier, thus creating a thin crease for Mowgli to slink out of....
