While the Internet seems to be collectively losing its' mind over "Wednesday", I found an entirely different Netflix show to adore.

I rarely, if ever, feel called out, especially when it comes to media covering Japanese culture and folklore, but in this case, not only have I found a character who I can very strongly identify with, I *am* that character.

"Oni" is one of those shows that in addition to being a heart-warming, compassionate tale, also is really darn funny, especially if you know yōkai and their background. Give me the same kappa's dish joke all day long and I will laugh every single time 👹

When I was watching this, I felt Tonko House made it *just for me*. I felt like I got to meet my best friends again after years of not seeing them. That's how special this title is.

If you care about yōkai, or Japanese culture/folklore, you can't miss this one.

If you like "Spirited Away", "Princess Mononoke", and "My Neighbour Totoro", you can't miss this one.

Finally, if you're a fan of George Takei... you *definitely* can't miss this one.
