Quick drawing to break out of an oncoming art-block. And it worked
.I started this yesterday and finished today (,insanely fast for me)- which hardly ever happens, though that's probably down to the fact that there's no background, lineart scales or any other details in this picture

Nice work, I can tell you are improving. Maybe make the dragon react a bit more, I can immagine something like that is painful? Have him roar out in pain, we like emotions.

and I know what you mean, although when drawing the picture I'd hoped that the apparent lack of emotion would have more impact- suggesting a backstory or reason for the detached feelings of the dragon... engage people's minds ... idk
You are right though - roaring and evocativeness is generally more damatic and fun

It could be better if the dragon is showing sadness. A tear drop, maybe?
If my wings was burning away, that's what I'll be doing. (Shedding tears)
Losing the ability to fly makes one lose its will to live. This is a tragic end to a dragon. Way to sad.

Maybe... but this picture was not originally supposed to be themed around sadness or a tragedy, though they were meant to be key elements of it.
I tried to show how the entire dragon was slowly fading into nothingness - hence the title -
