This is Franz and Albert from the anime Gankutsuoh.
I love this anime a lot. 
I'm not sure if it comes close to the original story itself, but oh well. XDI love doing the texture and pattern. I find it very challenging. :9
Also I drew this before I went on Spring Break. I just forgot to upload it.
Done in: Watercolor + CG
Duration: ~ 4 hours
PS- The Full Version looks better to me. XD

You absolutely nailed the texture-based coloring that makes the anime so awesomely unique! When I saw it I had to SOL (squee out loud XD) and everyone looked at me incredulously, but it was SOOO worth it. XD
And then the art itself is so wonderful and stylized, coloring aside!!! Absolutely brilliant! >3

Actually my style doesnt look like that - I was trying to mimic the anime's style (and I'm not much of a fanartist) but I am glad you like it! ^_^

Ah, I love Gankutsuou...poor, poor Franz. [sobs]
The anime doesn't follow the book too closely, but it's still one of my favourite versions. The American being my least. (My god...it was HORRIBLE) I would definitely recommend that you read the book; it's one of my all-time favourite books.
Ah, but anyway...The texture is excellent. Especially in Albert's hair and pants, and Franz's shirt. Ah, Albert's shirt is also excellent.

I do have the book, I just need time to read it. (And it looks so intimidating!!!! XD ) My sister read the book and liked it too. So the book will be on my list to read for Winter break. Thanks!!
And I didn't like the movie either...it was pretty bad and disappointing!

Yeah, it's...a really long book. [laughs] Whenever I'd read it in class, people would always say, "WAOW! That book is so huge!" Then they'd ask me what it was about, and I was thinking, "Aaaah! Just leave me alone so I can read! [cries] D:"
I liked the French mini-series, for the movies. Yes, it was long and semi-accurate..!
I just watched the end of the anime. I'm just so sad that Franz died. [cries]
