Asu cosplays Canada?!?!
Well yes, he does. At least his Mountie outfit. We don't plan on doing his military uniform or his red sweater.
The reason this cosplay was done was to match my France cosplay.
I think Asu looks very cute as Canada.
So I'm pimpin' them.--

I highly suggest unless you have anime-inclined friends or some sort of anime event to go to on Hallowen not to do a Hetalia character. Do something more recognizable.

Lol, my mom said the same thing. But io have... 3? friends that watch Hetalia & im probably gonna get one of my other friends into it. Maybe more, i donno. I've also been thinking about halloween scince June, when i started watching more animes.

If you do a Hetalia outfit, do something flashy. If you don't have the money, do something more traditional or iconic. It's funner when people get what you're trying to accomplish.

Im doing the polar bear, by the way. If only it were so easy to walk into build-a-bear now a days. I want one of those little button things that go in its hand where you press it & it talks. Build-a-bear has one where you can put your own message into it. So, the bear (i forget its name) could be like "Who are you?" & i could be like "Im Canada, your owner..." <- full of win... & too many "like"s

It's a cheap costume we bought off of a halloween website for around 40 bucks. The fabric is crap and so are the accessories. 
We did find some very nice, official mountie uniforms but they were hundreds of dollars. @_@

I bet if you search around you can find something cheaper and high quality. You can always commission someone to do it for you, too. Depending on what materials they use, it can be as cheap as 50-70 dollars.

I wouldn't know. I'm neither Canadian nor well-versed with it's laws.
Though honestly, the outfit is meant to show off the most well-known police dress for Canada, rather than trying to be accurate to the reality. Canada after all, is an anime character and the personification of a country, not a real person.

As stated in the comments, we don't actually want to do a complete Canada outfit due to disinterest in the character. The outfit is actually a parody of 'Canadian Please', a song on Youtube. It's a funny video with a catchy song that depicts two Canadians in Mountie uniforms doing a dance.
And actually, I found the red sweater outfit to be rather lazy myself. It's also inaccurate. Canada's official sweater color is tealish blue rather than red.

That's a shame. I don't mind Mountie!Canada but he would have had potential, that's just my saying.
I don't agree with how they colored the sweater as blue green, though. One, because Canada's flag is red -with white- and two, they portray him in fanarts and cosplay with the red sweater and I'm going to stick with that ideal look. : D
